Christopher Pan Yong Ming

Drum Teacher
Based in Kajang, Selangor, Christopher Pan Yong Ming is a passionate drummer and music educator with years of hands-on experience both on stage and behind the kit.

Christopher began his drumming journey at the age of 15 and remained self-taught until the age of 21, developing his skills through consistent practice, live performances, and a strong love for music. Throughout his musical journey, he has performed in a variety of settings — from intimate performances playing cajon with a 3-piece band to performing as part of a 6-piece band in front of audiences of over 100 people.

His musical experience spans a wide range of genres, including Pop, Rock, Waltz, J-Rock, and Pop Punk, allowing him to adapt his playing style to different songs, arrangements, and performance environments.

Beyond performing, Christopher is also an active musician at Holy Family Church, Kajang, where he serves as a drummer and bass singer for the choir every Sunday. This experience has strengthened his ability to listen, follow musical arrangements, maintain tempo, and work closely with other musicians.

Christopher also has practical experience in live sound and stage setup, including setting up his own drum kit for performances, miking drums, and assisting with sound mixing. His experience extends beyond simply playing the instrument — giving him a better understanding of how a drummer fits into the bigger picture of a live performance.

As a drum teacher, Christopher aims to make learning drums practical, enjoyable, and performance-oriented, helping students build strong fundamentals while developing confidence, musicality, and their own playing style.
